Yep, that's right, just in time for the Super Bowl: Buffalo Caulifower Dip. Vegetarian-friendly, this dip will be SURE to *wow* the party. Bring this dip to any party and consider yourself a good friend and party-goer as you will be providing some vegetables to that table ;) 

This dish is super easy to make and really just subbing out the chicken for cauliflower. Let's dive in on how to make it. 

Feeds a crowd (8-10 people) 

Ingredients:

• 1 small head of cauliflower
• salt and pepper
• olive oil spray
• 2 blocks of cream cheese
• 1/2 cup (or 3/4 cup, depending on tolerance to spice) Frank's Red Hot Buffalo sauce (has to be Frank's)
• 1 cup Ranch dressing
• 1.5 cups sharp cheddar, shredded
• Dippies: tortilla chips, pita chips, carrots, celery, etc. 

What's better than holiday baking? Truly nothing, in my opinion. Baking is such a special way to share your love with the people you love. Snowball cookies are a holiday classic but I've added a little twist! Almond flavor is a nostalgic flavor to most-- found in Italian cookies and biscotti, in the middle of stollen bread and danishes. So pairing the nostalgia of Christmas and this flavor only make sense! Read on for the recipe: 

Ingredients:

• 2 sticks of salted butter at room temperature (I microwaved 2 sticks for roughly 20 seconds to get this)
• 3/4 cup white sugar
• 1 tsp almond extract
• 1 cup chopped walnuts (sub for pecans or almonds!)
  2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• Powdered sugar for coating

Instructions: 

• Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees and prep two baking sheets with parchment paper
• In a stand mixer or with a hand mixer whip the butter until broken up and soft
• Add 3/4 cup of sugar to the butter and mix until fluffy (about 3 minutes)
• With the mixer on medium-low, add the almond extract and mix for another minute
• Add the flour 1/4 cup at a time with speed on medium-low
• With the mixer on medium, add nuts and mix for 3-4 minutes, scraping the sides of the bowl to ensure everything is getting mixed (desired texture will be crumbly) 
• Shape the dough into balls (about 2 tablespoons worth) 
• Bake for 15-18 minutes once you see a little browning on the bottom of the cookies (cookies will keep their shape)
• While the cookies are baking, prep a bowl with powdered sugar. While the cookies are warm, drop them in the powdered sugar and coat OR sift powdered sugar over the cookies! 
• Let cool on a wire rack and enjoy! 

Ingredients: 

• 15 apples
• 3 cups of apple cider
• 2 tablespoons of cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
• 1/2 cup of brown sugar
• 1/2 cup of white sugar
• 1/4 cup of maple syrup
• 4 cinnamon sticks

This whimsical dip is a fun addition to the dessert table. Serve it with ginger snaps, apple slices, or any hard cookie or sweet cracker. I love love love that this dip is only made with 4 ingredients. So quick, so easy. Great for a last-minute potluck addition. Read on for the recipe! 

Hi loves! The countdown to Christmas is on with only four days left. I wanted to share with you one of my favorite bakes during the holidays. If you know me, you know that baking is one of my absolute favorite pastimes. I know it's not an option, but I think it's my love language. Filling up the bellies of my loved ones has to be my favorite thing to do. Today, I wanted to share with you a goodie I've been making for the holidays for eight years straight! It has become quite the tradition.

It all started my freshman year of college when I was home for winter break. My parents have been throwing Christmas parties since the first year they started dating-- I think this year is the 34th year! I was home with not much to do so my mom tasked me with making homemade goodies for the dessert table. One of the recipes she gave me was an old magazine clipping from a 2001 issue of Food and Wine. It was a recipe for Almond and Cranberry Biscotti. It was an instant hit! You can find the recipe here.

B's Notes: 

1. I want to let you know that when I make the biscotti I always DOUBLE the recipe. If you're making it as a gift for co-workers, loved ones, etc., I recommend quadrupling the recipe. 
2. To make the biscotti a little more special, I like to dip them in chocolate. Here's how I do it
• Prepare tray or two with wax paper
• Set up a double boiler-- pot with a small amount of water in it with a glass bowl on top of the pot
• Bring water for a medium boil
• Make sure the water doesn't touch the bottom of the bowl
• Once the bowl is heated, pour a bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips in the bowl
• Stir until the chocolate is melted
• Take the end of the biscotti and dip it into the chocolate
• Place the dipped biscotti on the wax paper
• Once they're all dipped, let them cool and harden.  
3. For gifts: 
• Prepare cute little tags with a hole punch
• Weave through the hole a piece of twine
• Place biscotti in decorative bags
• Tie the tag and twine around the bag opening 
• Gift to your loved ones! 

The weather has officially turned. We're starting to wake up with the sun rather than an alarm clock, and if you're like me, you crave to spend every moment outside. This beautiful weather means that it's time to switch from hot drinks to iced drinks. The preference of the iced lattes and cold brews has switched from the piping hot lattes that warmed our souls in the winter weather to get us to this point.

I don't know about you, but I love a nice iced tea when I'm sitting in the sun reading or just enjoying the company of some of my favorite people. Raise your hand if you've ever had a GTL (Green Tea Lemonade) from Starbucks? 🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️It was my go-to in college from our campus' most prized possession. When I was in the mood for something less sweet, I'd opt for just an iced green tea. This drink is not only refreshing and hydrating, but it's also calorie and guilt free!

My current go-to on my way to work is as follows: a trenta green tea with no sweetener and light ice. These can be pricey, however. Roughly $4 a day can add up, my friend. So I decided to figure out how I could replicate it and now I want to share it with you!

Apple crisp is one of my favorite things in the whole world. It brings me back to the fall seasons I experienced growing up in Pennsylvania. How does that Christmas song "Home for the Holidays" go again? Oh yeah: Pennsylvania and some homemade pumpkin pie. Did you just sing that as you read that, too?! Yes, I have been listening to Christmas music for the last couple of weeks *insert shrugging emoji* Thanksgiving evokes for me memories of pumpkin pies, mile-high apple pies, and warming, filling, yummy, put-the-winter-weight-on foods.

I am here to share with you this yummy recipe for apple crisp that is a shoe-in family approval. Just what you need, another dessert, amiright?!

Ingredients:

For the apple mixture:

• 4 honey crisp apples
• 2 macintosh apples
• 1 tbsp of cinnamon
• 1/4 c of sugar 
• 1 tbsp of flour
• 1/2 tsp of salt
• 1 tsp of cornstarch

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 and prepare a 9x13 baking dish. 
2. Dice up the apples- I left the skin on for SOME nutritional value to this dessert. You can peel the skins if you prefer to
3. With the diced apples in a bowl, add the cinnamon, sugar, flour, salt, and corn starch. Mix everything until well combined. Let the ingredients sit and flavors meld. 
4. While the apple mixture is resting, prepare the crumble topping. To do so, mix together the flour, oats, white and brown sugar, and salt in a separate bowl from the apples. 
5. Next, cut the stick of butter into 8 pieces and then cut those pieces in half. You should have 16 pieces of butter. 
6. Add the butter cubes to a bowl of sugar, flour, and oats. Using a pastry blender or just your hands, crumble the butter into the other ingredients.
7. In the 9x13 baking dish, spread the apples as a layer on the bottom of the dish. Next, sprinkle the crumble over the top of the apples, covering them. 
8. Bake for 40-50 minutes.

I'm sitting here on my couch as I watch the snow fall outside on this second day of spring. This time two weeks ago however, I was sitting in a chez lounge chair looking at the ocean as my skin soaked up the sun's rays. But alas, here we are. I posted on my instagram this morning a picture of the yummy-licious waffles I made. A decent amount of my followers (if you are one- HIIIII) said that they'd like the recipe so here I am!

Let's cut to the chase because let's be honest, no one really reads the paragraphs before a recipe, they just want the recipe! I'm hip.

Ingredients:

• 1 1/4 cup almond milk
• 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
• 1/4 cup coconut oil
• 2 eggs
• 1/4 cup agave nectar
• 1/2 cup gluten-free old-fashioned rolled oats
• 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• pinch of salt

You wake up and it's the weekend, or a day like today where, if you're like me, you just needed a day to yourself. I woke up and decided that I was going to have a day, a day where I was going to live my proclaimed best life. So, what's the best way to start a day where you plan to live your best life? Waffles.

If you know me, you know I have an affinity for lemon and blueberry goodies and treats. Few things pair together  quite as perfectly as lemon and blueberry. You have the obvious peanut butter and jelly or classic tomato and basil but the combination of blueberry and lemon come together quite blissfully.

I started my morning like I start all mornings by making a cup of warm lemon water. Before I poured the warm water into my lemoned cup, I plugged in my waffle maker in preparation for these healthy blueberry lemon waffles. These waffles evoke all of the joy and nostalgia with none of the guilt. You'll see why when you check out the recipe!

It's no secret that fall is my favorite season. Fall is the embodiment of warmth, love, and coziness. With the brisk air comes scarves, boots, and warm beverages. With the low sun and burnt skies come pumpkins, apples, and color-turned leaves. With the counted days come Thanksgiving and the Christmas season. I am absolutely in love with what fall brings but this post is to highlight the revered pumpkin.

Anthony was in town this weekend and last night, we made a hearty dinner together. He was in charge of the steak and cauliflower/mashed potatoes. I was in charge of the caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, and blue cheese sauce. Together we had a fabulous cold-weather meal accompanied by some red wine.

This morning, Anthony had to head out earlier than usual so, I got up early and headed into the kitchen. I have been craving fall and everything that comes with it, even though it's currently 80 degrees outside of my apartment. Driven by that craving, I made this pumpkin oatmeal bake.

I got my inspiration from a recipe I stumbled upon on Pinterest (as per usual). If you know me, you know that I typically don't like to follow recipes because I like to put my own twist into it. So, I swapped out and added a few things to that recipe to make my own pumpkin oatmeal bake!

Ingredients:

• 1 15 oz can of pumpkin purée 
• 1/4 coconut sugar or brown sugar
• 1/4 cup of real maple syrup
• 2 large eggs
• 1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
• 2 cups of unsweetened vanilla almond milk 
• 2 cups of dry old-fashioned oats

Thanksgiving is one of the best holidays (if not the best). There are so many amazing aspects of it- food, family, friends, tradition, and did I mention food? There is not a home-ier meal than Thanksgiving. We go all out here at the Logan house. So much so that the gravy train is ridden for days. With that being said, we have many a leftover. Now, I'm here to post an argument: the days after Thanksgiving are the best simply do to the leftovers. Think of it this way- after the Thursday meal is said and done, and the extras are put into the fridge and they sit. The flavors meld and become richer.
